When we arrived in Venice we bought the tickets on the plane to take the boat there and back. When we went to exchange them at the ticket counter, something that made us lose a lot of time, we were told that the tickets were not ready and we were even scolded for having bought the tickets online and not at the ticket counter.

It took too much time in total; first the waiting time before the boat arrived, then the transfer due to the several stops. In total it has cost us 90 minites of our precious time. As a conseqeunce we didn't use the ticket for the return but booked a taxi taking us from the Isola delle Rose to the Airport in 30 minutes

It was fun to arrive at Venice via boat bus. We had to wait for about 20 minutes at the dock to board. Wish I could of seen more out the widows of the boat. But there was a drop off near my hotel. So it worked out well.

The taxi is great and stops all around the lagoon ,so on a nice day ,you get to see it all ,the walk from airport to the taxi is around a 15 min walk and the taxi takes about 1hour 10 mins to get to st marks square ,if you are returning to Marco Polo at night make sure you have checked the pier and the time for the vaporetto as there may not be anyone around to ask , altogether a great experience,we actually visited Venice for a day ,early flight out and late return,it can be done !!

How could you not leave Venice by waterbus to the airport for the modest sum of 15euros / pers. and that for a journey of less than an hour and to be able to admire the surrounding area, Burano etc.? It's all just to bring things full circle. Venice, the city of vaperetto, gondolas. That's Venice.

Both the airport transfer there and back with Alilaguna and the 3-day ticket for the vaporetti worked without any problems, simple, uncomplicated, really nice the journey over the water - but since you have to queue up at both to exchange the respective voucher for the real ticket, you can just as well buy it on the spot.

It would be nice if you could get a real online ticket straight away and not have to queue to exchange the online ticket for a physical ticket. This way you have to pay additional fees without any recognizable benefit.

The transfers to and from Marco Polo airport and Venice were great and the information regarding the voucher and ticket exchange were very clear, although I wasn't sure that I had downloaded the correct voucher, as it was totally different to the 2 day water bus voucher in format, I needn't have worried, everything went smoothly.

That we only had to wait about 30 minutes when the airport was very busy. When the seats for people with disabilities are not occupied, passengers can sit there because the narrow rows of seats behind them are not suitable for tall people.

Waterbus transfer Venice Airport to Venice rail station - better than expected as was able to catch a more direct/speedy boat than timetabled, enabling a plane delay to be recovered. The cab boat was on time at the right place. The whole trip was very nice along the canals leaving Venice. The only thing to comment is that there were passengers who were picked up at very inaccessible docks, having to pass suitcases and them inside another parked boat. I do not recommend it for people who are not agile.

I bought this boat taxi option thinking it would be a quicker experience from the airport to Venice, rather than the boat bus. Between waiting to be told that the driver was ready to waiting by the pier to board the boat taxi, it took about an hour. The actually boat journey was quick and comfortable. But in future I'll rather pay three times less than what I paid and take the boat bus that will probably take the same time and leave more frequently.

The Shared Water Taxi trip was good. The driver was courteous and helpful: very good. The problem I had, which was stressful, was the total lack of communication. - The initial email that my Taxi was booked said that I would receive another email with the exact time and location for pickup. I never received any followup communication (email or text) with specifics. So I wasn't sure when to be at the dock. - The phone numbers provided for the Taxi service didn't work on WhatsApp, so I was unable to contact the Taxi service. - No one from Headout or the Taxi service responded to my questions via email. - So I was in blackout mode, not knowing if, or when, the Taxi would arrive. I thought I had been scammed and would have to make other arrangements to get to the airport. - I was able to get time / location confirmation from the Hotel staff where I had proposed pickup. we booked an airport transfer from san Marco to Marco Polo Airport via website. Two hours later wereceived an email with instruction and the meeting point. Second mail a few hours later with the departure time. At departure time a charming young lady called our name, led us to the waiting water taxi and after picking up to more guests atanother hotel, we went straight to the airport. Very smooth, very nice! The taxi called at st angelo which required a ticket to enter. In trying to get under the gate to reach the taxi I fell and hurt my leg. In addition the taxi was re-scheduled from 7 am to 6.20, which was too early for a 9.55 flight.

When I booked the ticket I was concerned regarding how convenient the pickup location and time would be. But as promised, they contacted me by phone the next day and the location and time couldn't have been better. According to the receipt, I was going to have to provide a printed receipt and I was quite concerned about that but I was told on the phone that I didn't need to (her English was perfect btw). The driver came on time and the trip was awesome and quite convenient.

Once we figured out where the bus was at the bus stop, the transfer was very easy and smooth. We came in on the opposite side and the bus was in the center with no signs, so there was some confusion but after finding the office across the street all was well.

It was easy to hop and off vaporettos. It is great for night time rides which are the most beautiful. The rides are very expensive but this makes multiple rides per day manageable and affordable.

Our trip was for 4 night so it made sense to buy the 7 day pass which was convenient and better priced. I wished there was a 5 day pass available since we had to forfeit 2 days. All in all it was a good experience. The staff is not very friendly but I guess it comes with the job, working on choppy waters all day is not fun.

Machine at the San Marco stop didn't work for our credit card so we bought our 7 day passes on line. The system worked great with Google maps (though our usual stop for the hotel was closed for a couple days and Google didn't notice).

It took too much time in total; first the waiting time before the boat arrived, then the transfer due to the several stops. In total it has cost us 90 minites of our precious time. As a conseqeunce we didn't use the ticket for the return but booked a taxi taking us from the Isola delle Rose to the Airport in 30 minutes

Vaporetti are not always signposted and do not always go to the designated terminus. From time to time there are unexpected changes of plan, which mean you have to walk across the city to change trains. The size of the network and the offer of a 7-day ticket are positive.

It was fun to arrive at Venice via boat bus. We had to wait for about 20 minutes at the dock to board. Wish I could of seen more out the widows of the boat. But there was a drop off near my hotel. So it worked out well.

1- The tickets have QR codes but you need to present them physically and validate each time. For the vapoeetto till the airport they refused the digital tickets and the person who holded the physical ones was late so we had to buy 3 new tickets ecen if we has them. 2- They are made of a paper very thin; some people in tje group thaught it was a unique use and throw them away. Passes for 3 days should not resemble a "vulgar ticket" in my opinion

It was really easy to buy the 3 day pass online, then print out the tickets at the actv station. The 3 day pass was the cheapest best option allowing full flexibility while touring Venice. The vaporetto is the best way to explore Venice and the vaporetto tickets are easy to work out and use with the least amount of hassle

The staff where very helpful with our bags and my father who had limited mobility. Only issue was that we weren't told until we got to the ticket office - where you need to exchange your booking info for a ticket - that the final station we wanted to go to was closed.

The boats are well organized but unfortunately I was amazed that these old vaporetto are still running with so many tourists every year for 50 years zero comfort and total polluter because all are old diesel engines where Italy is master in building engines. If this were in Asia, all boats would be electric, which is a shame because the world is being destroyed and the pollution is huge.
